Each September, as part of the ELCA’s God’s Work – Our Hands Sunday, St. Andrew chooses a ministry project in which people of all ages in the congregation and community can participate. Some past projects were: packaging health kits for people in Africa; creating “thank-you” baskets for healthcare workers at Shadyside Hospital; making grocery bags from tee-shirts for our Produce Distribution guests, and making toiletry bags for the Homeless Children’s Education Fund’s teen outreach. Volunteers purchase items and may help put kits together. Others may help deliver or mail the kits.
Sunday, September 10th, 2023 will be God’s Work Our Hands Sunday this year.
