How can you celebrate Pentecost at home?
- Wear red on Sunday May 31, 2020
- Pentecost is the church’s birthday! Make a cake or 12 cupcakes with red icing and 12 candles, one for each apostle with a tongue of fire overhead.
- Make red, orange, and yellow pinwheels (craft sheet here).
- Blow up red, orange, and yellow balloons to dance around in.
- Make a red, orange, and yellow ribbon wavers to use when we sign or hear the word “Spirit” in worship (craft sheet here).
- Learn to say “Love” in a different language, because God teaches us to love all our neighbors from around the world.

- Color tongues of fire (craft sheet here).
- Cut a 2″ strips of paper and make crowns with you colored tongues of fire.
- Color and mail this post card to someone, showing them how much you and Jesus love them (craft sheet here).
- Get a kazoo and play to remind you of the rushing wind of the Holy Spirit.
- Make red, orange, and yellow layered Jello and cut out tongues of fire.
- Share on Facebook how you are doing Pentecost at home!
Most of all, remember that God made us, loves us, gives us all that we have, and saved us. God wants you to share what you have and show God’s love to every person, just like Jesus!
